Sensei Doug is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. He started training in 1975 with Grand Master Bill Prusinowski and received his Brown belt in 1980. He then went to American Kenpo Karate and studied under Grand Master Dick Willett. In 1989, he received his Black Belt under Todd McElhinney. He went on to earn his 2nd Degree in 1990, his 3rd Degree in 2000, and his 4th Degree in 2008.

Sensei Doug has also studied Judo and Sassori Jujitsu under Grand Master Spruell, as well as several styles of Escrima under Guro Brain Trail, GM Nene Tortal and Master Chris Rickets. He is our head sparring coach and specializes in unarmed combat utilizing American freestyle fighting from the AKK and the JLFS.
