Shihan Phil

Shihan Farris started his martial art career in Judo in 1980 and began taking Karate in 1981. He is the  Founder/Director of Budo-Kai international, an open martial arts organization. He is ranked as a 6th degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do (Traditional Okinawan Karate) , Kobudo (Traditional Okinawan Weapons) and Nihon-Ryu Jujitsu. He also Studies Kenjustsu and Iaido (Way of the Katana). He is also the Founder/Director of Tsurushin-Ha (Suru-shin-Ha) Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do and Tsurushin-Ha Kobudo. Shihan Farris has studied under many masters during his martial arts career, but the most notable is Tadashi Yamashita.
